My journey to Koh Lipe 3

the We arrived at Arau around 10am and took cab to the Kuala Perlus jetty terminal. The fare was RM26 and the journey took about 20 minutes.

The jetty was crowded with holiday goers, bound to Langkawi. Our ferry departed around 10.45am. The fare was RM18 and it was bought earlier, online.

The journey was about 1 hour and 15 minutes and I was asleep throughout!

We arrived at the still-under-construction new jetty. It was supercrowded.
So many people!

After checking-in, we had lunch of nasi ayam and Laksa Langkawi with fresh orange juice.

After prayers and toilet businesses, we went through the checkpoint ready to board the ferry to Koh Lipe.

As in previous occasion, I slept throughout!

We arrived at Koh Lipe about one and half to two hours later. We were then transported to the island via these small long boats.

It took quite awhile to process our passport. Here is the checkpoint.

The ride on the "taxi" was pleasant. And after about short 10 minutes ride, we arrived at Koh Lipe Backpackers or the Davy Jones Locker. My room is quite nice. It looks new and equipped with all facilities I need. And it comes with a balcony overlooking a fraction of sea view.

I rested and took a nap before going out for dinner scheduled around 7pm.
