2. Find fellow writers (and illustrators), form groups, network, learn about the publishing world, get feedback on your writing stuff.
3. Read a lot of children's books, the recent the better. Take note of what you like about them. Study the style, writing, illustrations. Treat this as a research to learn more about the business. Of course you are also free to enjoy the book!
4. Enrol in relevant courses or workshops and absorb like a mad sponge.
5. List your dreams pertaining to this. Remind yourself by looking at them frequently. Make it attainable by breaking down into smaller goals. Whatever you do or decide, must bring you a step closer to your dreams.
6. Write the type of children's books thst you enjoy the most. Practice makes perfect.
7. Never give up and keep your persistence throughout.
8. Enter competitions. Find ways to make your writing/illustrations CV impressive. If you win, it may open doors too!
